Led Zeppelin Cupcakes

Our client requested Led Zeppelin cupcakes for her 12 year old son who is a HUGE Zeppelin fan. Our cupcake artist Bette' was able to hand paint all the album covers they requested.

(If you aren't a true Zeppelin fan this decoration above may puzzle you. Apparently there is a song called No Quarter so this decoration displays all coins except....the quarter. Described as EPIC we thank David for the idea!)

Busy Town!

How could you ask a 3 year old to choose a theme? Trains or trucks? So we gave him both in this little construction theme. Everything is edible except the trucks. He was a friend so we bought them as a gift! Happy Birthday Matty!

Ben 10 Alien Force!

Ben 10 was new to us but thanks to some great lessons from our buddy Julian we quickly learned that Ben 10 is the newest cartoon that all the boys are watching! Everything was hand painted by our artist and completely edible!

Vroom vroom!!

Another birthday party for a little boy! His mom said he loves cars so we created a little race track for him. There is a car for each little boy at that party!

Sesame Street Cake & Cupcakes

We made a small cake & 3 dozen cupcakes for a little boy's first birthday party. I loved the Sesame Street theme!

Looney Toons Cupcakes

I haven't thought about Looney Toones since the early 80s (when I was he-hem... born... because I'm still really young.... and stuff) but it was fun to relive the memories via cupcake (all were cookies & cream flavour. Mmmmm)

Star Wars Cupcakes and Cake

We had two (YES TWO) Star Wars orders last weekend and another one for tomorrow. Is that weird? I think that's weird. Coincidence.

Anyway, for one of the orders the customer ordered a small cake and a few dozen cupcakes to go with it. The second order was Cupcakes Only.

Noah's Ark Cupcakes Take 2

We've done the Noah's Ark cupcakes a few times now and don't usually post pictures of repeat jobs but I fell in love with these little monkeys a little bit and I'm having a hard time saying good-bye (pic taken with my phone - sorry for the poor quality)

What do Cinderella and a Lawn Mower Have In Common?

Well, they were both put on the top of a cupcake for a recent order! A little girl was celebrating her 4th birthday and she's into (gasp!) Princesses! So we did a dozen Cinderella themed cupcakes along with a box of pretty mini cupcakes and, finally, a couple of cupcakes for her little brother who is turning 2. He's pretty much just into lawnmowers...

Mighty Machines!

A third birthday celebration for a little boy who loves MIGHTY MACHINES! (although, what 3 year old boy doesn't love Mighty Machines?). We did a cutting cake with a toy dump truck (no, we didn't make that out of fondant although I'd love to pretend that we did!). The truck is dumping its load of dirt and rocks (chocolate cookie crumbs and chocolate rocks). And we also did cupcakes but because we didn't deliver the order I didn't get a chance to take pictures of everything set up together.

In retrospect I wish I'd chosen yellow icing for the vanilla buttercream as now that I look at the pictures it appears very Halloween-y!

May The Force Be With You

We were asked to create a cupcake tower for a little boy's 4th birthday party. His mother asked that the cucpakes each have a light sabre on top with one special cupcake at the top for the birthday boy. We created a yoda for the birthday boy. Here he is before going to the party posing with a toothpick instead of his light sabre! (if you can believe it I forgot my camera when delivering the cupcakes so I don't have any really good ones of the tower)

Here's what I've got taken with my phone. Pretty lame but you get the idea.

Brown Bear, Brown Bear

For a little boy's first birthday we had a request to come up with cupcakes themed around his favourite book - Eric Carle's "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?" Here's a shot of all the animals and then a few of the cupcakes next to the images that inspired them:

It's Me! Mario!

As little boys grow into bigger boys it's not always easy to an appropriate party theme. But there's one thing that brings boys of all ages (including my four-year-old son and my husband, whose age shall remain a mystery) together, and that's: Super Mario

We've done the Mario cupcakes a few times but this client asked if we could include a couple of cupcakes for her daughters - the birthday boys' sisters. So we included Princess Peach and Princess Daisy:
